Exquisitely crafted sterling cuff, featuring a gorgeous, polished slab of rare Hachita turquoise. This mine is now closed, making Hachita turquoise - known for its unique green color - a collector's item. This cuff, in totality, is heirloom quality.
This bracelet was created by my incredibly talented neighbor, Fred, a silversmith working in traditional Navajo technique. No pre-fab components, this piece was created entirely by Fred with anvil, press, hammer, stone, sterling, and imagination. The band was forged from an ingot of sterling silver - pressed into a thick column of silver, then hand-hammered into the traditional pyramid shape.
Stone measures 1 inch tall and 1 inch wide. One-quarter-inch of decorative silver work surrounds the stone, making the focal piece 1.5 inches tall and 1.5 inches wide. Bracelet (inside dimension) measures 5.5 inches with a 1.5 inch opening. Best on a 6.75 to 7.25 inch wrist. Slightly adjustable.
Handmade in Wyoming.
